Dr. Priyankur Roy is working as a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery at Genome - The Fertility Centre, Siliguri. He completed his undergraduate training at Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, and subsequently did his Junior Residency in Christian Medical College, Vellore. He did his post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from JSS Medical College, Mysore, and passed out with Subject Gold Medal the JSS University Gold Medal for scoring the highest in Surgical Speciality Subjects. He then completed a Clinical Fellowship in Endoscopy and Infertility from IKDRC, Ahmedabad.
He has received many accolades in international and national level paper presentations. He was awarded the prestigious ‘Dr. LEELA KRISHNAMURTI AWARD’ for the best paper by IABMS in Chennai. During his PG days, after receiving a scholarship from the University, he presented his thesis at the prestigious FIGO conference held in Vancouver, Canada in 2015. He has also been awarded the prestigious ‘FOGSI-COURIAN AWARD’ during AICOG 2017 at Ahmedabad. He is also the recipient of ‘FOGSI FUTURE AWARD-EAST ZONE’, awarded during East Zone Yuva FOGSI 2017 at Guwahati. He has been a faculty for several conferences. He has published several articles in international as well as national journals. He has also written chapters for several textbooks, including Jeffcoate’s Principles of Gynaecology (Ninth Ed.). He is also a reviewer for many journals.
He has also been instrumental in the organization of various national and state-level conferences, CME’s, and other activities. Throughout, he has been a very active member of his home societies – Mysore and Siliguri Obstetrics & Gynaecological Societies.
