IVF for twins cost in India

The cost of IVF to conceive twins in India usually ranges between ₹2.5 lakhs to ₹4.5 lakhs per cycle. This is slightly higher than a normal IVF cycle because it often involves transferring more than one embryo, which may require extra hormone stimulation, embryo monitoring, and advanced lab procedures. In some cases, specialized treatments like ICSI or blastocyst transfer may be used, increasing the cost further. The final amount depends on the clinic, the patient's health, and add-on services like embryo freezing or genetic testing.

The cost of IVF treatment in India varies based on factors such as location, clinic reputation, and specific procedures involved. On average, a single IVF cycle ranges from ₹1,50,000 to ₹3,50,000. Additional costs may include medications, diagnostic tests, and optional procedures like ICSI or embryo freezing. Some government hospitals, such as SAT Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, offer IVF services at subsidized rates or for free, aiming to make fertility treatments more accessible. It's advisable to consult with specific clinics to get detailed cost estimates and understand the services included.https://www.aiims.edu/images/pdf/rate/IVF.pdf

Hey! Just to clear things up the cost of IVF in India is usually the same whether you have one baby or twins. IVF treatment price mostly covers the whole process per cycle, which is around ₹1.2 to ₹2.5 lakhs depending on the clinic and extra treatments like ICSI or embryo freezing.
Now, if your IVF results in twins, the pregnancy care and delivery costs might be higher because twin pregnancies need extra monitoring. But the IVF procedure itself doesn’t cost more just because of twins.
So basically, you pay the normal IVF cost upfront, and any extra expenses happen later during pregnancy.
