Dr. Prajnanika Gurung is working as a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Gynae Endoscopic surgeon at Genome- The Fertility Centre, Kolkata. She completed her MBBS (Gold Medalist) from N.R.S. Medical College, Kolkata, in 2005. An outstanding student, she received several scholarships and awards during her MBBS including Honours in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She pursued her post-graduation studies from the premier institute, All India Institue of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and completed her MD (AIIMS) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2009 and Senior Residency in 2012.
Dr. Prajnanika served as Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at AIIMS, Patna from April 2013. During this period she developed a special interest in infertility patients and fertility preservation surgeries. She further did her Diploma in Reproductive Medicine and Embryology (Ger) and Diploma in Gynaec Endoscopy (Germany).
Before joining Genome, Dr. Prajnanika served as Senior Consultant at Indira IVF, Kolkata. She is a member of various national and international societies. Her special fields of interest are in-vitro fertilization, reproductive endocrinology, endoscopic surgery. Her research interest include PCOD, endometriosis, reproductive surgery, and in-vitro fertilization
